Posted by admin | Editorials | Monday 31 August 2009 12:15 am

The ReachOut Nigeria with Rhapsody of Realities campaign has brought a new light on the horizon of the country, and has brought with it a fresh hope and belief in Nigeria’s greatness.

Through ReachOut Nigeria, we are boldly declaring that our Independence Day is not a day to mourn and regret, or to curse our nation and her leaders for what we perceive as her failures or missed opportunities. It’s time instead to bless Nigeria, to rejoice and celebrate her greatness, and thank God for giving us a nation with such extraordinary wealth and great potentials that we expect will be realized on the world stage.
Special activities to look out for, as from now are:

7. Special T.V. and Radio programs
a. In October the activities will snowball into special television programs that give every Nigerian the opportunity to step on center stage and contribute relevantly to topics about nation building. The premier edition of these live shows will be broadcast on the 7th of October and will continue throughout the month of independence.

The Role of the Media
As you would realize from the foregoing, the media is required to publicize the campaign and give it all the newsworthy mentions it deserves.
