Why Celebrate Nigeria At 49?

Posted by admin | Nationhood | Monday 19 October 2009 5:21 am

Someone once asked: “What’s there to celebrate during Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary? In a nation where nothing seems to be working, why should anyone want to celebrate?” Just within a few years of gross mismanagement from bad leadership, many seemed to have forgotten the glory of Nigeria, the giant of Africa, a country so blessed with vast human and natural resources. Instead of celebrating their fatherland on Independence Day, they’d rather mourn and recant it. If only they would take their eyes away from the negatives to see the flickering ray of hope in the not-too-distant horizon. Hope should be celebrated in Nigeria; hope that’s based on the strength of a resilient people who are acclaimed world-wide as “the happiest people on earth” irrespective of past ordeals and misadventure in politics and government. ReachOut Nigeria is a movement dedicated to rekindling hope and a patriotic spirit in Nigerians! It has spawned a new culture in Nigeria by encouraging Nigerians to look forward to Independence Day with zest and positive anticipation; talk about rekindling hope in the hearts of a people!

Rebrand Nigeria by Rebranding Yourself

Posted by admin | Inspirations | Saturday 3 October 2009 9:51 am

Did you know that by rebranding yourself, you’re actually rebranding Nigeria? Sure; this is a fact every Nigerian needs to know.

“How do I come in?” you may be wondering.

Well, the way you see yourself goes a long way to affect what our country will turn out to be. Picture a young kid whose parents always call “a good for nothing big head”; he’ll grow up believing he’s a good for nothing, and when the time comes for him to handle a sensitive responsibility, he won’t strive for excellence because of his negative perception of himself.

That’s why rebranding is important; it begins with the individual until it affects the whole nation.

Is there anything about you you’d love to rebrand? Share your comments with us and we’ll be glad to hear from you.
